New stuff
Hello from me.
For a change this weekend I took myself and the camera kit off to a local lake. I have always wanted to capture images of the mating ritual of Great Crested Grebes, but have singularly failed to find a pair. However this time luck was with me and a pair were displaying, unfortunately too far away to photograph the full courtship display. However, while sat on my stool I noticed a Cormorant fishing ever nearer to my location. It dived and disappeared for several minutes, then came up for air, struggling with what turned out to be a large eel. I took a lot of images of the fight and some are displayed below. Meanwhile the Grebes had made their way over to a little island she had prepared and barely believing my luck I managed to capture the sequence below. Just like taxis the images all came at once! 3 hours waiting for 5 minutes of shooting, but I hope you think it was worth it. I do.
