Photographs of Roe deer.
Roe doe
Taken on a misty September morning. I was actually stalking a hare when this doe came out of the trees. Because my wet clothes (crawling through the dewy grass) were sticking to me I had difficulty turning sufficiently, without alarming her, to get no more than a couple of photographs. As she crossed my path she stopped, licking her nose to enhance her scenting ability. I must have left a scent as she re-traced her steps into the trees.
