Roe buck at dawn

During the rut this Roe buck was in long grass typical of Salisbury Plain. I managed to crawl in to camera shot without too much difficulty while his attention was very much focussed on a nearby female. I was fortunate that the dawn sun broke through the cloud and lit him up nicely at just the right time.
